European Union Aviation Safety Agency
The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) is the EU’s aviation authority responsible for ensuring the highest common standards of aviation safety, security and environmental protection across Europe. EASA develops regulations and guidance for civil aviation, including the operation of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS or drones). Its rules are adopted by all EU Member States and several associated countries, including Switzerland.
